Starting out the New Year with Sarah Bond!

On January 12th at 7pm, we will be starting out our new year by welcoming Sarah Bond.  Sarah's lecture is titled "Many Quilts, One Family".  Sarah will be focusing on her family quilt history, her own quilts and inspirations. Her family quilting history goes back to her great-great grandmother who was a well-known slave quilter.   Sarah has been quilting since 1979 and teaching quilting for over 15 years. Sarah teaches at local shops and has exhibited her works at many local venues.  I am sure Sarah's talent and use of color will inspire us this year!

Quilt Raffle Note:  Thanks to everybody at our December meeting who took home packets to sew for the 2016 raffle quilt!   They are due back NO LATER than our February 9 guild meeting (sooner is OK too!!)   If you are paper piecing arcs, but not appliqueing them to the black background, we need those arcs returned at the January meeting so our applique volunteers have a month to complete their part of the quilt.
