Have you ever wanted to click your heels, tweak your nose, or rub the genie's lamp and turn your scraps into quilts? Then join us on Monday March 14th, and welcome Merry May, a quilt instructor, designer, author, quilt historian, curator, and fabric and button hoarder. Merry will show us how to turn our rags to into beautiful scrap quilts. Merry has been a quilt maker since the early 1970's and has written works enjoyed by all worldwide. We look forward to this special presentation.

Tucker Trimmer?  Wing Clipper?  Is County Line Quilters Guild going into the exercise business?  Heaven forbid!  No, these are just two of the Studio 180 tools that Ellen Cicak & Sisters will be demonstrating at the February 8th guild meeting.  And after they show us how to use these amazing tools, they will show us some of their beautiful quilts that they made using these techniques.  Then there will be a test (sort of!) and an opportunity to purchase these handy dandy tools.  Please join us at 7 PM for a fun evening.

Bring your "A" game to play "Left-Right-Center". You'll need 20 charm squares fabrics(5"x5"). Winners could go home with over 100 charm squares or even more!!

Looking for that perfect gift for your Quilting Bestie?

"Looking for that perfect gift for your Quilting Bestie or maybe a wee something for yourself?" Join us Monday, December 14th at 6:30 PM for our end-of-the-year gala. Four of our favorite vendors – Byrne’s Sewing, Granny's, Jackie's Woolens, and Round Bobbin – will each demo a fun new project. In between sampling delicious appetizers and desserts and exchanging our mug rugs, we will have ample time to shop for that perfect gift. Please bring cash or checks (no credit or debit cards). It's going to be a fun night!

Also a reminder to bringing $10 Giant food store or CVS gift cards for the New Britain Baptist Church food larder, and the $10 - $20 Visa cards requested by A Woman's Place to be used by their clients for gasoline purchases.

Materials, Mediums and Mixing it Up!

September 14th, our first program of the 2015-16 season, features Vickie Mathas, a fine art fiber artist, lecturer and teacher. Ms. Mathas uses varied and unusual objects to create her unique works and has developed several innovative techniques including Flower Pounding. Her art quilts and fiber art pins are displayed at several galleries around South Jersey. Join us on Monday, September 14th at 7:00 PM for an informative and fun evening.

Barn Quilts and Ice Cream!

Please join us June 8th at 7:00 PM as we journey along The American Barn Quilt Trail with author Suzi Parron.  Suzi will provide us with a fascinating look at a huge variety of beautifully painted “quilt blocks” which are proudly displayed on barns across our country.  Following the program, we will enjoy our annual ice cream social.  Come join us for a fun evening. - and the last before summer!

Strings Attached!

Please come out and join us at our May 11th meeting when we will have Madge Ziegler will present her "Strings Attached" program.  String quilting is a fast fun and exciting quilting technique that will definitely get you "hooked"!  Madge will tell us all about string quilting while she shows us a bunch of her gorgeous string quilts!   (We quilters love show and tells!)

Guild Reminder: All house blocks are due at this month's meeting!


Aloha Members!!  If you've been dreaming about warmer weather and sweet tropical breezes, our meeting Monday, April 13th at 7pm will be just what you need!  Gail Mahealani Small, a native of Hawaii, will be sharing her presentation on Hawaiian history, culture and, of course, Hawaiian applique quilting.  Come out and enjoy our quilting luau!

Won't You Be My Neighbor?!

On Monday, March 9 at 7 PM, we will be making fusible applique house blocks for one of the quilts we will be raffling off at our quilt show!  It sounds like a surefire way to beat these winter blahs!  We'll provide the fabric, so that you and a friend (old or hopefully new) will be building a custom house for our "Won't You Be My Neighbor" quilt.  Please bring scissors, pencil, straight edge or ruler, and any small embellishments for your house.
