Announcing a Winter Challenge – WEIGH TO GO !

To assist in this challenge, there will be fabrics donated by Rosemarie Malizia and the unsold fabric from the Quilt Show Boutique.
The EASY STEPS for the challenge are :
1 – Bring a bag to the meeting and gather fabric, the challenge team will weigh the fabric collected.
2 - Take the fabric home with you and SEW’ SEW’ SEW items for donation fabric. Feel free to add fabric from your stash as needed to complete the projects.
3 – Come to the March Meeting with your completed items, ready for donation, for the final weigh in.
The Challenge will have multiple awards

2 – Largest total weight completed
3 – Largest Net weight gain (Total weight minus donation fabric)

2024 sew re me challenge project
This year’s SEW-RE-MI quilter’s challenge showed off the diverse “musical” talents of our members. We had 10 outstanding submissions.
Kathy Acker reminded us that “Life Is A Highway”, and Sue Clark took us all back to The Beatles with “Here Comes the Sun”. Joanne D’Allurie found just the right note with “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” while Liz Holtzman’s “Happy Birthday” wall hanging brought memories of the song we all know and sing, and Sylvia O’Neill’s “Songs Of The 60’s” was a wonderful interpretation of a great decade of music.
We had a perfect duet for Most Techniques when Marilyn Malik’s “Starry, Starry Night” gave us an artistic interpretation for a bag and Rose Marie Wert showed her musical chops with her wall hanging “My Favorite Things.”
Barb Miller and Janet Liples submissions “What A Wonderful World” and “God Bless America” were in perfect harmony winning them ribbons for Favorite Song and Jeanne Malone struck a winning chord for Best Interpretation of Theme with her “Moon River” submission.
Congratulations and a big thank you to all who made our Sew Re Mi Quilt Challenge so harmonious
These artistic Sew Re Mi quilts are showcased on the Member Quilts page.
